I plan on having a career in my future. That career could be in academia, industry, or government.
My Master’s work detailed odorous house ant (Tapinoma sessile) ecology. My PhD work will characterize the gut microbiome and phylogeny of carpenter ants (Camponotus pennyslvanicus).

A radioactive ant stung me when I was 5. Since then, I’ve struggled with the responsibility of super powers. I also had an excellent entomologist as my undergrad advisor who had revealed to me the awesomeness of insects.
Ants. They are so influential to the world and express endless varieties of behavior and morphology.
Playing/writing music, sketch work, super-hero stuff.
Butterscotch Oatmeal. Soft and freshly baked with a glass of milk... Mmmmmmmmmmm…
My favorite movies are the “Indiana Jones” trilogy.
Song of Ice and Fire series
In the future I would like to visit a world where no one goes hungry. Where peace is shared between all countries. Where we work to save the natural wonders of our world. And if none of those options are available, my future rich self would like to take my wife on a second honeymoon to Italy or Australia.
