William Moar, Entomologist

Special Interests: Bacillus thuringiensis; transgenic plants, non-target insects, insecticide resistance.

Position: Professor in Entomology. Currently working on Bt resistance in cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa zea. Development of Bt strains for transgenic cowpea and sweet potato.

Currently Principal Investigator of a Bean/Cowpea Collaborative Research Support Program (CRSP) Project on genetic improvement of cowpea,  partnered with scientists in West African countries of Burkina Faso , Cameroon and Senegal .
