Development Workshops 2016-17
Along with the regular RCR (Responsible Conduct of Research) Workshop Series which cover many ethical and integrity issues, the Graduate School has developed 2 NEW series of workshops for this Fall and Spring. The first series, known as GRIP (Graduate Research Information Program) in partnership with Purdue Libraries, will focus on research and data skills, critical for secure, effective and efficient research management. Topics such as data management, sharing, storage and visualization, as well as reference management, copyright, and excel use will be highlighted during the series. Attend one or several workshops in the series. The second series, GERPS (Graduate Engaging Research Presentation Series) will focus on helping graduate researchers become better communicators. These research communication workshops will focus on making your presentations engaging for all audiences at all levels. The workshops will be great preparation for our Three Minute Thesis Competition held in April. The series starts with a workshop on Improv Techniques and continues with Story Telling 101, ending the series with Engaging Presentation Practice and Techniques for focusing your message. You can register for all the Graduate School Professional Development opportunities at the website: https://ias.itap.purdue.edu/rgs/wgb_workshop.disp_online_workshop Candidate
