Welcome students! Mark your calendars and plan to attend! The fair is open to all students and alums at Purdue and Ivy Tech. The Career Fair is not just for graduating students, it is for freshmen, sophomores and juniors who are exploring career paths or internship opportunities. Employment Opportunity at CERIS
The Center for Environmental and Regulatory Information Systems (CERIS) is looking for an undergraduate student in Agriculture who has the ability to scan documents, perform web searches, post articles and update user information for the Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey (CAPS) information services project. This is a 5-10 hours a week temporary position through the end of the 2017 spring semester and then a 20-40 hour/week temporary position for the 2017 summer session. Graduate Student Orientation
The Office of Graduate Admissions, in coordination with the Purdue Graduate Student Government, has planned the agenda (see attachment ) for the Fall 2017 New Graduate Student Orientation. This convocation is the morning of Friday, August 18. With a lineup of excellent speakers and a resource fair involving almost 50 Purdue University and community partners, this is one event that no incoming graduate student should miss! Fire Fly Social!

August 5, 2017: Commencement Students who miss any of the deadlines in red may incur a
$200 Late Graduation Deadline Fee if
they would like to maintain their candidate status for the summer session.
Candidates who request to make updates to an already deposited thesis or
dissertation, or who have been listed on the candidate roster for the same
degree more than two consecutive sessions, may also incur this fee. These
dates, as well as other key 2016-17 deadlines, are available online on the Graduation Deadlines Calendar webpage for your reference. They have also been posted
on a new “Announcements” page in the Graduate School

Commencement Participation
Major Professors can register to sign up to participate in his or her student’s commencement story per and email that was sent out by the graduate school. To particicpate, you must register by July 24th, 2017, 10:00 pm. Answers to general questions you or your candidate may have regarding graduation may be found at https://www.purdue.edu/commencement/. Ph.D. candidates who wish to participate in a future commencement ceremony as a returnee must email the request to commencement@purdue.edu prior to the end of the term in which they graduate.
