Honey Bee Job Available!

Dr. Hunt’s lab is looking for a student to help with examining Varroa mites from the bee hives for about one week per month. The student must have their own transportation to get to the bee lab, which is a mile west of campus. The job will not involve opening hives, so there would be minimal risk of getting stung. It will involve removing mites from the “sticky board” sampling sheets taken from the hive, examining the mites under a microscope, and recording data on the appearance of the mites. Contact Dr. Hunt for more information: ghunt@purdue.edu
