Hello and welcome to the Urban Landscape Project landing site. We appreciate your interest in the project and invite you to join us as a cooperator. The primary goal of this project is to examine how urban pests respond to a broad range management approaches in the home landscape and to identify key factors which contribute to or reduce the pest problems in this environment. To accomplish this, we would like to visit your property twice this year (July and October) with a small crew of trained scientists. While we are on your lawn, we will collect several small soil cores (1” diameter) and record various other observations relating to your lawn and landscape. This process will take about 20-30 minutes and will not require any special arrangements on your part. We will visit as time permits and you do not need to be present during this time.
In return for your cooperation, we will provide you with a free soil fertility test and a detailed report of the insects and weeds we find in your lawn.
If you agree to join us as a cooperator, please click the button below and fill out the short survey questionnaire to provide us with a brief overview of your lawn and landscape maintenance practices. Thank you!
