Step One: Determine the Location of the Nearest Compliant Ash Receiver Site (CARS)

A CARS is a site such as a landfill, marshalling yard, or sawmill that has entered into an agreement with the appropriate regulatory agency to receive, process, or dispose of regulated ash material.

To find out the location of a CARS in Indiana, click here (PDF) or contact the Indiana DNR:

Indiana Department of Natural Resources
Division of Entomology and Plant Pathology

402 West Washington Street, Room W290
Indianapolis, IN 46204-2739
